Frequently Asked Questions
How do you apply a cooling patch correctly?
For optimal initial treatment of minor injuries, the cooling patch should be applied to clean, dry skin. It is ideal for bruises, bumps, swelling, or insect bites, but not suitable for open wounds. It is important to observe the expiration date – only fresh patches offer full effectiveness.
How long can a cooling patch be worn?
Our hydrogel cooling patches, like the Klebetier, offer gentle and consistent cooling for up to 1 hour. Thanks to the moderate temperature, there is no risk of frostbite as with ice. Nevertheless, observe the child's reaction – rapid relief should remain comfortable.
Are cooling patches suitable for sensitive children's skin?
Yes!
Our cooling patches are dermatologically tested, particularly skin-friendly, and
hypoallergenic – also optimally suited for sensitive skin. Nevertheless, if you have a known allergy to specific ingredients, you should check them beforehand. And as with any product for children: Do not let it get into the eyes or mouth, and supervise smaller children while they are wearing it.
When should I take my child to the doctor?
A cooling patch provides excellent quick relief and pleasant cooling for minor everyday injuries. However, in the following cases, you should seek medical advice to be on the safe side:
- Severe pain
- Large, rapidly growing swelling
- Restricted mobility
- Changes in consciousness after a fall (e.g., on the head)
